Franziska Consolati

Trekker

Franziska Consolati (b. 1993 in Upper Bavaria, Germany) is an author and adventurer. One of her first journeys after turning 18 took her across the Sahara Desert with Bedouin guides – somewhere among the endless dunes, she fell in love with our planet and its wild beauty. Since then, she has been travelling the world in search of authentic encounters and untouched wilderness.

Through her stories of life outdoors and in remote places, Franziska has twice won the writing competition hosted by The Travel Episodes and Malik National Geographic, as well as the ITB BookAward. She writes for publications such as Lonely Planet and various outdoor magazines. She also shares her experiences with readers on her blog and on Instagram.

Her path eventually led her to a secluded red wooden house in the forests of Sweden. This place unexpectedl brought her restless spirit to a halt. This remote home became a missing piece in her life’s puzzle – a place of arrival rather than departure.

Today, she lives on an old farm in northern Sweden together with her husband Felix, where the stillness and surrounding wilderness have become home.

Somewhere there in the dunes, I lost my heart to our beautiful planet. And I vowed to myself that I would never stop exploring wild nature.
