Starting from the 2025 season, AKU is the new partner of the Palaronda project, a network of multi-day circular tours, including trekking and via ferratas, that cross the Dolomite group of Pale di San Martino (TN).
The partnership with Palaronda stems from a shared vision: to value the mountains not only as a place of exploration, but as a space inhabited, experienced, and cared for daily by those who work there. For this reason, AKU is providing the hut keepers involved in the route with a selection of footwear designed to cope with life and operational needs at high altitude. This practical technical support is designed not only for tackling transfers on trails and inaccessible environments, but also to ensure comfort during daily activities within the huts. The project is completed thanks to the collaboration with Ferrino, supplier of technical clothing for the hut keepers.
This initiative is part of AKU's broader commitment to a mountain culture that promotes hospitality, awareness, and sustainability. The collaboration with Palaronda complements existing projects in the area, such as the synergy with the "Aquile" of San Martino, mountain guides who use AKU mountaineering equipment for their activities in the Dolomites, and "Gocce di Montagna," an awareness campaign on the responsible use of water resources at high altitude.
