An intense day of high-level professional training coordinated by Ennio Rizzotti, a Tarvisio native, an experienced Alpine Guide and National Instructor of the CNSAS National School of Technical and Canyon Rescue Engineers. A leading figure in Italian Alpine Rescue , Rizzotti led and evaluated simulated rescue operations for an injured hiker along the Salemm via ferrata , a popular route that climbs the Norman Tower.
A team of seven people from the Basilicata Regional Service , composed of rescue workers and healthcare personnel, carried out the delicate maneuvers of immobilization, loading onto a stretcher and transporting the victim downstream, applying the operational protocols and adopting the specific safety equipment required for managing this particular intervention situation.

CRODA DFS GTX
Lightweight, agile, precise, and extremely comfortable. CRODA DFS GTX is a mountaineering shoe ideal for challenging climbing and trekking in mixed environments with rock and ice.
As always in these cases, the training experience, combined with the use of appropriate safety devices , represent the key factors for the success of the operation, which was able to be carried out optimally while also respecting the other fundamental variable, that is, execution times.
For this new initiative, the AKU – CNSAS partnership was able to count on the support of an important new partner, the KONG brand , a historic Lombardy company specialized in the design and production of highly innovative safety equipment for rope access, rescue and mountaineering.
A shared commitment that for AKU is part of the program called PRO FORMA: a set of initiatives, some of which have already been documented in both the fields of mountain rescue and working at height , which aim to raise awareness of the importance of professional training as a prerequisite for constantly improving the ability to assess risk in highly dangerous jobs.
The greater the training and experience, the less likely the worker will be exposed to risky situations. PRO FORMA is a program of initiatives developed by AKU in collaboration with advanced professional organizations to promote a culture of TRAINING , as a fundamental prerequisite for reducing the risk of accidents in highly hazardous work activities.
