Place your feet on a sheet of paper and draw two horizontal lines at the heel and the longest toe; then measure the distance between the two lines. Consult the size chart in the product descriptions and find the size that corresponds to the length of your foot in centimetres. For example, a foot measuring 27 centimetres corresponds to EU size 42. It is important to leave about half a centimetre of space at the front of the shoe to prevent your toes from hitting the front of the shoe when going downhill and to increase comfort. Wear technical hiking socks when trying on the shoes.
If you need footwear that can be used for simple climbing as well as traditional hiking, consider shoes featuring the Dual Fit System lacing technology. When greater precision is required for walking on rock, simply tighten the second lace to reduce the volume at the toe.
If you need more space in the shoe because your foot is wider than standard sizes, or because you want greater comfort, AKU has designed ‘Wide’ models.
