AKU IS SPONSOR OF PREALPITOUR RACE 2025

AKU confirms its role in the international Hike&Fly competition which will be held from 23 to 26 July 2025

This year, AKU is once again participating in the PreAlpiTour Hike&Fly Race , serving as the main sponsor of the event, now in its third year. The event, scheduled for July 23rd to 26th, starting and finishing in the province of Belluno, has become one of the most significant events in the European Hike&Fly calendar, a discipline that combines hiking and free flight .

Hike & Fly is born from the fusion of two outdoor sports: walking and flying. Athletes tackle long, high-altitude routes, alternating ascents on foot with paragliding, in a challenge that tests not only physical endurance and technique, but also the ability to read the terrain, weather conditions, and the natural environment.
The 2025 edition of the PreAlpiTour, organized by Hike&Fly Italia ASD with the support of the Italian Free Flight Federation (FIVL) , will see 65 pilots from 14 countries travel a course of approximately 280 kilometers. The race will take place over four days, touching strategic points including alpine refuges, mountain huts, and small mountain villages, starting from the center of Feltre (BL) and arriving at the historic Birreria di Pedavena (BL), crossing the spectacular scenery of the southern Dolomites, the Venetian Prealps, and the Lagorai in the provinces of Belluno, Trento, and Vicenza.

The PreAlpiTour Hike&Fly Race is now a benchmark for all enthusiasts of this young sport. For AKU, supporting the PreAlpiTour is more than just a sports sponsorship, but also an action consistent with its vision of promoting the mountain region.

"Our participation in the PreAlpiTour Hike&Fly Race," says the AKU team, "is consistent with the company's vision: to support an innovative, lightweight, and sustainable sport that values the highlands and requires authentic connection with the mountains. Our goal is not just to provide high-performance footwear, but to be an active part of a way of experiencing the mountains based on respect, passion, and awareness. "
