On Sunday 28 September, AKU participated as a technical partner of the Aquile di San Martino at Dolomia 2025, the gathering that brings together the mountaineering groups of the Dolomites.

Mariano Lott, President of the Alpine Guides of San Martino Eagles

On the occasion of the 18th Dolomia Gathering, held on Sunday 28 September in San Martino di Castrozza, AKU participated as a technical partner of the Aquile di San Martino , sharing with the main mountaineering groups of the Dolomites an important moment of discussion dedicated to the protection and responsible development of the Dolomite mountain routes .

The event brought together mountaineers and guides from historic Dolomite communities . Participants included the Scoiattoli of Cortina, Croderes of Val Badia, Sfulmen of Molveno, Caprioli of San Vito di Cadore, Ragni of Pieve di Cadore, Rondi of Comelico, Tupaie of Laste, Catores of Val Gardena, Aquile of San Martino di Castrozza, and Ciamorces of Val di Fassa. The goal was to present the new guidelines for the maintenance and sustainable development of Dolomite routes : a document that reaffirms the founding values of mountaineering— respect, responsibility, and awareness —as an integral part of mountain culture.

During the meeting, Giulio Piccin, AKU Product Manager , explained the company's production philosophy: combining high-level technical performance, appreciated by mountaineering professionals, with the internationally recognized comfort of a fit that has always been a distinctive feature of every AKU product. This combination stems from field experience and a constant dialogue with those who experience the mountains every day .

Piccin also presented the main AKU technologies – ELICA, a system that optimizes stride efficiency, and DFS, which allows for a double adjustment of the fit to ensure precision and stability even on the most challenging terrain – together with the Croda DFS GTX and Aurai DFS GTX models, dedicated to technical mountaineering, and Rock DFS II GTX, designed for the approach to mountain routes and via ferratas.

AKU's participation in Dolomia confirms the company's commitment to promoting responsible mountaineering , based on innovation, durability and respect for the environment.
