AKU AT THE COMBINAZIONI FESTIVAL 2025: WATER AND ITS UNPREDICTABLE FLOW

On Sunday, September 14th at 5:00 PM, AKU offers the themed walk "History of a canal: it's not just flowing water"

AKU couldn't miss the CombinAzioni Festival , which will be held from September 11th to 21st at its headquarters in Montebelluna. The company will highlight one of the most pressing issues for those who live and work in the mountains: water.
On Sunday 14 September, starting at 5pm, AKU presents “The Story of a Canal: It's Not Just Flowing Water” , a thematic walk for up to 100 participants along the path of a waterway, a symbol of life, transformation and responsibility.

Along the way, guests will be accompanied by exceptional voices and testimonies . Pietro Casagrande, manager of the Rifugio Velo della Madonna in the Pale di San Martino, will explain how managing an Alpine refuge requires dealing with the predictability and unpredictability of water resources, a necessary yet fragile resource whose availability must be carefully and respectfully planned.

The theme will be explored from a different perspective by environmental geographer Francesco Visentin, who will guide participants through the discovery of how water distribution shapes landscapes, ecosystems, and communities. Adding to the evocative impact of the event will be the artistic performance of dancer Erica Meucci , who translates the power and delicacy of water into movement.

The initiative continues the "Gocce di Montagna" project, which AKU is carrying out together with the Aquile di San Martino (Eagles of San Martino) to raise awareness among mountaineers and hikers about water scarcity in mountain refuges. This commitment aligns with the company's values, where finding a balance between exploiting resources for growth and conserving them for the well-being of the planet requires responsibility and awareness.
