Our suppliers
A precise choice of company policy has always included the use of raw materials coming mainly from local suppliers, capable of providing certain information on the origin and characteristics of the materials, ensuring full traceability of every single component of the product.
Vela Technologies
Founded in 2007, Vela, thanks to the expertise of its team, immediately realized its potential by providing innovative technical textile products to the domestic and international markets. The partnership with AKU began in 2009 and focuses on the production of technical fabrics for outdoor and professional footwear. Technological innovation, process optimization, and research into reducing environmental impact are the foundation of a partnership through which AKU creates highly comfortable and long-lasting products. On the AKU website, you can find the origin of every single component of your footwear through the "Traceability" tab.
Friul Rubber
With the Behind the Label project, AKU allows you to peek behind the label and discover the origins of footwear components. Friuli Rubber was founded in 1987 and is now the undisputed leader in the production of microporous expanded EVA rubber sheets and bands for the footwear market. In the company's modern analysis laboratory, specialized technicians, working with AKU, select the most suitable compounds for each specific application. Together, they strive not only for technical innovation but also for environmental responsibility: Friuli Rubber has achieved the important VEGANOK certification for all its products.
Frasson Solemakers
Frasson is a company that has been a leader in the footwear industry for over 100 years. Over the past 30 years, it has excelled in the production of soles and outsoles for outdoor and safety footwear. At AKU, research is focused on ensuring excellent performance and durability for footwear suitable for both leisure and professional use.
