AURAI EVO GTX WAITING FOR THE ICE

A daily work session was held at the AKU headquarters in Montebelluna, attended by a selection of Italian mountain guides .
Present were a representation of the Aquile group of San Martino di Castrozza , the entire Madonna di Campiglio Guides group, both groups from Trentino alongside the instructors Ingo Irsara ( Alto Adige/Südtirol ) and Peter Moser ( Trentino ), the independent guides Santiago Padros, originally from Catalonia but who has lived in the Belluno Dolomites for a long time, Enrico Mosetti, from Tarvisio in Friuli, Alessandro Ruffi, Raffaele Mercuriali and Francesco Rubbiani from the Emilia-Romagna Apennines and the young aspiring Guide Fabio Trivieri, from Lombardy originally from Crema.

It was an opportunity to reaffirm the bond between AKU and the world of mountain professionals who collaborate with the company to develop its product offering in the mountaineering segment, which is receiving increasing attention from AKU and the industry.
Specifically, the day focused on the presentation of the AURAI EVO GTX model , the result of an intense field testing program that led to further improvements in the excellent performance of this model, specifically designed for ice climbing, but which also finds its ideal use in modern mountaineering at high altitudes and for use by CNSAS operators , an organization with which AKU has been collaborating for several seasons now, which is gradually consolidating, also as a result of a formal collaboration agreement signed in 2024 with the National Directorate.
While we await the cold and icy winter that has just begun, this first meeting, which will be followed by one specifically dedicated to the central-western Alps area , represents a further step forward in the repositioning strategy of the Montebelluna brand , supported by the rebranding project officially presented to retailers and distributors last May in Riva del Garda, during ORBD.
AKU's goal, in light of this program, is to represent today and in the future an alternative in terms of inspiration and functional characteristics of the product compared to the leaders in this market segment, offering "hard core users" a concrete opportunity to appreciate the brand's ability to offer reliable, precise and high-performance functional products, with the added value of the traditional AKU comfort of wearing.
The AURAI EVO GTX model is joined by two other important new products for the mountaineering segment: CRODA BOA GTX and CRODA DFS EVO GTX , both semi-cramponable models ideal for mixed ice and rock activities, which will in turn be available from the first months of 2026 .
