Starting from the 2025 season, AKU is the new partner of the Palaronda project, a network of multi-day circular tours, including trekking and via ferratas, which cross the Dolomite group of Pale di San Martino (TN).
The partnership with Palaronda was born from a shared vision: to give value to the mountain not only as a place of exploration, but as a space inhabited, lived and looked after daily by those who work there. For this reason, AKU provides the refuge managers involved in the route with a selection of footwear designed to face life and operational needs at high altitude. A concrete technical support, designed to face transfers on paths and impervious environments, but also to guarantee comfort in daily activities inside the refuges. The project is completed thanks to the collaboration with Ferrino , supplier of technical clothing for the operators.
This initiative is part of a broader commitment by AKU to a mountain culture that promotes hospitality, awareness and sustainability . The collaboration with Palaronda is in fact alongside projects already active in the area, such as the synergy with the “Aquile” of San Martino , mountain guides who use the AKU mountaineering range for their activities in the Dolomites, and “Gocce di Montagna” , an awareness campaign on the responsible use of water resources at high altitudes.
