Earth Day is an opportunity to pause for a moment and reflect on the relationship between our daily habits and the world around us. Responsibility does not come only from major strategies or production choices, but also from simple actions, repeated over time, that can make a difference.
At AKU, we believe that paying attention to resources, reducing waste, and adopting more conscious behaviors is a concrete way of caring for the environment.
Therefore, today, April 22nd, we propose a small challenge made of simple but significant daily actions:
If you can, cycle or walk to work
Bring your lunch in a reusable container, avoiding disposable packaging
Use your own water bottle
Turn off lights, monitors, and close taps when not needed
If you're grocery shopping, try to avoid products packaged in plastic
For today, try not to eat meat. And if you already don't, try to avoid dairy products too
Clean up your email inbox
Try not to print anything all day
Give new life to something: a plant, an object, an idea
Share a responsible action not on this list with someone
Take a moment to be in nature and truly observe it
We can't change things in just one day. But we can choose, today, which side to be on.
